Iconic UK rock outfit The Sisters of Mercy return to Australia later this year for a run of headline shows.
One of the most influential acts to emerge from the post-punk movement of the ‘80s, the band blends punk‑psychedelia, metal and dance beats with frontman Andrew Eldritch’s baritone growl.
The Sisters of Mercy’s upcoming Aussie jaunt sees the band return to what many consider the best lineup in recent years, with Eldritch joined by Ben Christo, Kai, ‘Ravey’ Dave Creffield and, as ever, Doktor Avalanche.
The tour begins in Perth at the Astor Theatre on Wednesday 25 November, followed by shows at Sydney’s Metro Theatre on Friday 27 November 27, Hobart’s Odeon Theatre on Sunday 29 November and Melbourne’s Forum on Wednesday 2 December, with the final gig at The Tivoli in Brisbane on Thursday 3 December.
Spotify pre-sale starts 10am AEST on Tuesday 26 May, followed by the second pre-sale at 10am AEST on Wednesday 27 May 27. General tickets go on sale 10am AEST on Thursday 28 May 28 via sbmpresents.com.

Formed in 1980 by Gary Marx and Andrew Eldritch, The Sisters of Mercy have been a major influence for a generation of bands, including the likes of Metallica, Nine Inch Nails and My Chemical Romance.
Despite the release of only three studio albums across the journey, all three are highly rated and produced a rash of era-defining singles, including ‘Lucretia My Reflection’, ‘Temple Of Love’ and ‘This Corrosion’.
The Sisters of Mercy’s upcoming tour will shine a light on the band’s entire career with a rotating setlist full of classic tracks, deep cuts and acclaimed new songs, combined with their renowned cinematic light show that pushes the boundary of dark rock.
