As The Linda Lindas continue the rollout for their forthcoming sophomore album No Obligations, set for release on October 11 via Epitaph, the band has shared their latest single, ‘Yo Me Estreso’.
Sung entirely in Spanish, the song is about being stressed and features a cameo by “Weird Al” Yankovich on the accordion. If you had The Linda Lindas collaborating with “Weird Al” on your bingo card, you’re some sort of clairvoyant.
Speaking about the track, Bela Salazar said: “‘Yo Me Estreso’ is a song about always being stressed, always being anxious and thinking that people are mad at you when they really aren’t. It was inspired by listening to a lot of corridos tumbados, banda and Duranguense and doing that in our own punk style.”

‘Yo Me Esterso’ follows on from No Obligation’s lead single, ‘All In My Head’, a jangly garage rock number the band released a few weeks back.
Forming in 2018, The Linda Lindas comprises sisters Lucia (guitar) and Mila de la Garza (drums), their cousin Eloise Wong (bass), and family friend Bela Salazar (guitar).
Breaking out in 2021 when their performance of ‘Racist, Sexist Boy’ during an event at the Los Angeles Public Library went viral, the quartet quickly capitalised on their sudden popularity with the release of their fantastic debut LP, Growing Up, in 2022.
The past few years have seen the band play Coachella in 2023 and support Paramore on their This Is Why Tour last year. The Linda Lindas also opened for The Rolling Stones at SoFi Stadium in LA in July of this year.
No Obligation is set for release on October 11 via Epitaph. You can pre-order/pre-save the album here.
