The Kid LAROI Shares New Single ‘A PERFECT WORLD’, Announces Release Date for Second Album

2026 is shaping up to be a huge year for Aussie rapper and singer The Kid LAROI, with the New South Wales-born artist readying the release of his hotly anticipated sophomore album, Before I Forget.
Due for release on Friday 9 January via Columbia Records (pre-order/pre-save here), Before I Forget is The Kid LAROI’s first full-length studio album in two years. Following the release of the first single ‘A COLD PLAY’ a few months back, the rapper has shared the album’s latest single ‘A PERFECT WORLD’.
Taking to Instagram to discuss his new album, LAROI posted: “I made this album in the last 4 months. I had a whole other album that was completed but I scrapped it. started again from scratch with the exception of 1 song. it’s my favorite thing I’ve ever made. it’s also the most personal thing I’ve ever made. sorry it’s taken a while. I hope that it resonates with you in some way cause it means a hell of a lot to me. I love you and thank you for supporting me always.”

The announcement of Before I Forget comes hot on the heels of The Kid LAROI winning Song of the Year at this year’s ARIA Awards for his hit single ‘GIRLS’.
LAROI also just performed at the NFL halftime show in Berlin in the game between the Indianapolis Colts and Atlanta Falcons, where he performed both “A PERFECT WORLD” and “A COLD PLAY”.
Aussie fans can catch him performing as part of the AO Live 2026 Concert Series in late January.
