It's a good time to be a fan of Converge.

Not only have the hardcore heavyweights released two albums in 2026, Love Is Not Enough and Hum of Hurt, but the quartet have today revealed they are returning to Australia and New Zealand in 2027.

The band's first headline tour since 2019 includes seven headline dates and an appearance at the new Melbourne festival Lucidity, where Converge will perform their seminal album Jane Doe in full.

Fans heading along to Converge's headline concerts can expect a career retrospective, with the band performing tracks from across their storied career.

Joining Converge on their Australian headline dates are uncompromising powerviolence veterans Extortion and Melbourne metalcore outfit Ends in Tragedy. Texan experimental metal punks Portrayal Of Guilt will also join Converge for their additional Melbourne headline performance and both New Zealand dates.

Converge's tour commences on Thursday 11 March at The Rechabite in Perth, followed by a concert in Adelaide at Lion Arts Factory on Friday 12 March. Converge then plays two shows in Melbourne, playing Joe Doe in full at Lucidity Festival on Saturday 13 March, followed by a headline performance at 170 Russell on Sunday 14 March. Then it's off to Sydney for a show at the Factory Theatre on Wednesday 17 March and Brisbane's The Triffid on Thursday 18 March, with the tour ending in New Zealand with concerts at Wellington's Meow Nui on Saturday 20 March and Auckland's Powerstation on Sunday 21 March.

The current lineup of vocalist Jacob Bannon, guitarist Kurt Ballou, bassist Nate Newton and drummer Ben Koller delivered not one but two new full-length albums, Love Is Not Enough and Hum of Hurt, reaffirming why they remain one of the most vital and influential bands in extreme music.

Converge's 2027 headline tour is a celebration of the band's legacy and gives fans a chance to experience their high-energy live performance in the flesh.
