‘A Moment Like That’ is the latest single taken from The Jungle Giants’ upcoming fifth studio album, Experiencing Feelings of Joy, out Friday 8 May.
The single is an explosive burst of euphoric dance music goodness and follows the previously released tracks ‘Tell Me How It Feels’ and ‘Is It Love?’. Despite the positive vibes, the track was born from a turbulent time when frontman Sam Hales was doing it tough time in his personal life.
“It’s me backing myself, being in myself again and feeling confident,” Hales says. “It felt really good to sing like that because I hadn’t sung like that in a long time, and it was all coming back. Essentially, ‘A Moment Like That’ started to become literally about that moment, about me feeling good about myself again.”
Speaking on the title of the band’s upcoming album, Hales says, “I’d overextended and kind of cooked it, but I really found myself. That’s where the joy comes from, having this unwavering hope even after experiencing adversity. This record is what everything culminated in for me, because I’m so in love with it and I’m so addicted to music again.”
