Sydney alt-rockers The Buoys are gearing up for the release of their sophomore album Concret Cowboy, out Friday October 23 via Sony Music Australia, and to celebrate, the quartet are taking the album on the road this October.

Produced by Aussie Chris Collins (Matt Corby, Ruby Fields, alekshia), the album includes collaborations with songwriters Alistair Hayes, Fletcher Matthews, Konstantin Kerstin and Dylan Ollivierre, and takes inspiration from the likes of  Nile Rodgers, The 1975, HAIM, and The Beths.

The Buoys have shared three singles from the record: the previously released 'Bitch' and 'Kill You Back', and the latest track 'Welcome to My Brain'.

Keen to share the album with fans, The Buoys have announced a national tour this October that hits five capital cities. Commencing in Sydney at Crowbar on Friday 23 October, the band then plays The Brightside in Brisbane on Saturday 24 October, Adelaide's Jive on Sunday 25 October, Melbourne's Corner Hotel on Friday 30 October and finishes up in Perth at Indian Ocean Hotel on Saturday 31 October.

The Buoys Fan club pre-sale kicks off at 10am AEST today, Monday 20 July, followed by the general public tickets at 10am AEST Tuesday 21 July. Details available via thebuoysband.com.

Indie rockers The Buoys have been out there getting it done for a decade. Making noise in 2017 with their debut EP Soft Boy and performing their first live show with Ruby Fields, the band has established themselves as an incredible live act.

Since the release of their debut album Lustre in 2024, The Buoys have embarked on their first international tour, scored a nomination for triple j Best Australian Album of the Year and played their first-ever Like A Version session.

As described on their website, Concrete Cowboy "is about trying to keep pace with a world that never slows down, and what you find when you finally stop. Dreams, repressed memories, the blur between what’s real and what your mind has been quietly holding."

Concret Cowboy by The Buoys is out Friday October 23 via Sony Music Australia. Pre-order here. Catch The Buoys performing at Jive on Sunday 25 October. Ticketing information available at thebuoysband.com.
