The Angels love to tour. After nearly selling out two separate tours last year celebrating 50 years as a band, the lovable rockers have announced four special album showcase gigs taking place in April.
These exclusive performances come in support of The Angels’ most recent release, Ninety Nine. The five-piece will perform their fourteenth album in full at these four gigs along with all The Angels classics, such as ‘Long Line’, ‘No Secrets’ and ‘Am I Ever Gonna See Your Face Again’.
The tour begins with a hometown performance in Adelaide at Lion Arts Factory on Friday, April 4 and is followed by gigs at Memo Music Hall in Melbourne on Saturday, April 5, The Lounge in Chatswood on Friday, April 11 and Old Museum Concert Hall in Brisbane on Saturday, April 12.
Tickets for all four ‘Exclusive Album Showcase’ concerts are on sale now via theangels.com.au.

The Angels are one of Australia’s greatest rock and roll acts, having got their start in the ‘70s performing in pubs around Adelaide.
Across their 50 year career, the band has released six top ten charting albums – No Exit (1979), Dark Room (1980), Night Attack (1981), Two Minute Warning (1984), Howling (1986) and Beyond Salvation (1990) – along with a string of hit top 20 singles, including ‘Dogs Are Talking’, ‘We Gotta Get Outta This Place’ and ‘No Secrets’.
The Angels have also gone through their fair share of tragedy over the years, with bassist Chris Bailey passing away in 2013 and frontman Doc Neeson in 2014.
Dave Gleeson took over as lead vocalist in 2011 before stepping down in 2023, with Nick Norton taking over.
The current lineup of Norton, Tom Brewster (drums), Sam Brewster (bass) and sole original members Rick Brewster (lead guitar) and John Brewster (rhythm guitar) don’t look like slowing down anytime soon and are set to tear the roof of Lion Arts Factory in April.
Catch The Angels at Lion Arts Factory on Friday, April 4. Tickets on sale now via Moshtix.
