The American crooner and Aussie singer have become mates after first meeting in Sydney last year.

If Australians didn’t already love Teddy Swins enough, their feelings for the Atlanta crooner are going to go into overdrive after he announced Matt Corby as his main support act for his upcoming I’ve Tried Everything But Therapy Tour.
Corby is one of Australia’s favourite sons, having released three incredibly breathtaking albums since breaking through in 2011 with his hit ballad ‘Brother’. The song continues to be a fan favourite, coming in at #51 on triple j’s Hottest 100 Australian Songs.
“I’m such a fan of Teddy. I first heard ‘Lose Control’ on the radio while driving from the airport to a show, was completely floored by his vocal chops and the soul in his sound,” says Corby.
“I’ve been hooked ever since. We first met at his Sydney show last year: Teddy came up, gave me a big hug, and told me he’d been listening to my music since high school, which just blew my mind. After his set, we hung out, talked music, and joked about starting a boy band one day. Being invited to join him on this run of shows is a real honour. I can’t wait!”
Swims, who is touring with his band Freak Freely, has locked in 10 massive arena shows across Australia this October. Swims plays three shows at Sydney’s Qudos Bank Arena on Tuesday 14 October, Wednesday 15 October and Thursday 16 October before two gigs at Brisbane’s Entertainment Centre on Saturday 18 October and Sunday 19 October. Then the ‘Lose Control’ singer has three concerts in Melbourne at Rod Laver Arena on Wednesday 22 October, Thursday 23 and Friday 24, before wrapping the tour up with gigs at Adelaide’s AEC Arena on Monday 27 and Perth’s RAC Arena on Wednesday 29 October.

It’s been a meteoric rise for Teddy Swims, who first rose to fame on YouTube before becoming a worldwide star with his #1 Billboard Hot 100 single ‘Lose Control’.
Taken from his 2023 debut album, I've Tried Everything but Therapy (Part 1), the track became the second-longest running Top 10 song in Hot 100 history. Swims followed up this year with his sophomore album I've Tried Everything but Therapy (Part 2), which debuted at #1 on the ARIA Album Chart and features singles ‘Bad Dreams’, ‘Are You Even Real (feat. Givēon)’, and ‘Guilty’.
Currenlty in the midst of a 50-date North American tour, Swims touches down in Australia in October for what promises to be an electrifying run of shows.
