Summer Sonic Announces Third Wave of Artists

 

Added to the lineup are the likes of Dermot Kennedy, Holly Humberstone, Wisp and more.

Japan’s Summer Sonic 2026 has revealed a third wave of artists who will perform at the annual festival.

Held simultaneously in Tokyo and Osaka from August 14 to 16, this year marks the festival’s 25th anniversary and features a lineup stacked with incredible local and international acts.

The new additions to the bill include Irish singer-songwriter Dermot Kennedy, UK songstress Holly Humberstone, Japanese rockers Macaroni Enpitsu, Thai pop group PiXXiE, neo-shoegaze artist WISP and rock outfit Queen Bee.

Also appearing as part of the third lineup are Father of Peace, Jon Spencer, SB19, Ave Mujica and .ENDRECHERI.

They join the likes of headliners The Stroke alongside BABYMETAL, Jamiroquai, Kasabian, FKA Twigs, Steve Lacey, Pendulum, mgk, Viagra Boys, Jade, South Arcade, The Warning and more.

There’s also a special guest that will be unveiled in the coming weeks.

Since its inception in the year 2000, Summer Sonic has established itself as one of Japan’s best festivals, arguably as impactful as Fuji Rock.

Held in both Tokyo and Osaka, Summer Sonic celebrates its 25th anniversary this year with an incredibly diverse lineup of artists from across the world.

Last year’s lineup, which included Fall Out Boy, The Prodigy, Yungblud, Bloc Party, Camila Cabello, Jorja Smith and more, was a huge success, with this year’s event shaping up as an even better experience for music lovers.

Summer Sonic runs from August 14 to 16, 2026, in Tokyo at ZOZO Marine Stadium and Makuhari Messe in Chiba and in Osaka at Expo ‘70 Commemorative Park in Suita. Tickets on sale now at summersonic.com.
