Spiderbait Add New Dates To ‘Ivy & The Big Apples’ 15th Anniversary Tour
Tour support comes from Custard, Magic Dirt, The Meanies, Tumbleweed and The Gnomes.

People really love Spiderbait’s Ivy & the Big Apples. After announcing a run of shows to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the legendary Aussie alt-rocker’s third studio album, Spiderbait has added a further five dates.
Along with hitting Brisbane, Perth, Melbourne, Adelaide and Sydney, Spiderbait will perform tracks from Ivy & the Big Apples at newly announced shows in Canberra, Newcastle, Shoal Bay, Gosford and Miranda.
“Stoked to be touring Ivy & the Big Apples this year for her 30th birthday!” the band said in a statement when first announcing the tour. “Such an important album for us with lots of epic memories… like ‘Pony’ winning the Hottest 100 & Janet singing ‘Calypso’ … So to play the record live in its entirety around the nation will be mega. And a fantastic lineup of so many of our fave bands, thanks for celebrating with us! See you soon, Australia!”
The tour kicks off with two shows at Brisbane’s The Tivoli on Saturday 4 (sold out) and Sunday 5 July. Spiderbiat then plays The Ice Cream Factory in Perth on Saturday 11 July, Shoal Bay Country Club in Shoal Bay on Friday 17 July, The Entrance Leagues Club in Gosford on Saturday 18 July, Miranda Hotel in Miranda on Sunday 19 July and two shows at The Forum in Melbourne on Thursday 23 and Friday 24 (sold out) July.
The final run of dates takes place at Adelaide’s Hindley Street Music Hall on Saturday 25 July, Canberra’s The Baso on Thursday 30 July, Sydney’s Enmore Theatre on Friday 31 July and Newcastle’s King Street Bandroom on Saturday 1 August.
Iconic special guests Custard, Magic Dirt, The Meanies and Tumbleweed will join the party on select dates, as emerging Melbourne rockers The Gnomes warm audiences at all shows.
Presale tickets for the Canberra and Newcastle shows are available from 12pm AEST on Thursday 7 May, before general sale opens 1pm AEST on Friday 8 May. All other tickets are now on sale at frontiertouring.com.

Spiderbait are one of the pioneers of the Australian alt-rock scene, having been at the top of their game for over 35 years.
Comprising Kram (drums, vocals), Janet English (bass, vocals) and Damian Whitty (guitars), Spiderbait have released seven acclaimed albums, garnered over 100 million annual streams globally and taken home two ARIA Awards.
Ivy & the Big Apples was released in 1996 and debuted at #3 on the ARIA Albums Chart, producing the hit single ‘Buy Me a Pony’, which came in at number one on the Triple J Hottest 100, 1996.
Spiderbait’s upcoming tour gives fans a chance to hear many of the tracks from Ivy & the Big Apples performed live alongside favourites from their extensive catalogue.
