Gearing up for their final runs of shows of the year, Perth quartet Sly Withers have shared rocking new single ‘Make My Mind Up’.
This one has a pop quality to it, with shimmering riffs and an anthemic hook combining with relatable lyrics about being caught “between self-doubt and determination”. In short, ‘Make My Mind Up’ is a belter that’s sure to become a live favourite.
“The song is about feeling stuck, overwhelmed, and indecisive, but also about the desire to push through and improve,” co-frontman Sam Blitvich explains. “Wrestling with stagnation, needing a push, but still holding onto the belief that you’ll eventually break free and make it out the other side in one piece.
“It's the most collaborative track we’ve ever written. We used to write individually, but this one started with a vocal hook Fraser came up with, and from there we built out the entire track together as a team. It’s been super exciting to see our writing process evolve and we can’t wait to share more of it.”
To coincide with the release of the track, Sly Withers are heading on the road with their From WA With Love national tour, kicking things off with a show at Shelter in Busselton on Friday 7 November.
The four-piece then hit up Brisbane’s Crowbar on Thursday 13 November, Maroochydore’s Solbar on Friday 14 November, Gold Coast’s Vinnie’s Dive Bar on Saturday 15 November, Sydney’s Crowbar on Wednesday 19 November and Adelaide’s The Gov on Thursday 20 November.
The lads make their way back to Perth as part of their festival Sidefest from Friday 21–Sunday 23 November before the final three gigs at Hobart’s Altar on Friday 28 November, Melbourne’s Croxton on Saturday 29 November and Torquay’s Torquay Hotel on Sunday 30 November.

Coming together in high school, Sly Withers have been rocking out for almost 15 years. In that time the quartet have released three albums – 2016’s Sly Withers, 2021’s Gradens and 2022’s Overgrown – and established themselves as one of the best bands to emerge from the WA music scene in recent years.
The current lineup, comprising OG members Jono Mata (lead and backing vocals, guitar), Sam Blitvich (lead and backing vocals, guitar) and Shea Moriarty (bass, backing vocals), alongside recent addition Fraser Cringle (drums), are currently in the studio working with producer Stevie Knight (Stand Atlantic, RedHook) on their upcoming fourth album, set for release in April 2026.
Taking a break from recording, Sly Withers are playing a bunch of shows next month either side of their own festival Sidefest.
