Shag Rock Announce New Album 'Three Deep Breaths' & 2027 Australian Tour
The band have also shared new single, 'ikea believer'.

Brizzy indie surf rock trio Shag Rock have returned today with new album Three Deep Breaths.
Their first LP since 2021's Double Overhead, the album was shaped by the last four years, with the songs on Three Deep Breaths exploring the realities of adulthood, from bills, friendships and heartbreak to the chaos of trying to find who you are, across 11 indie-centric tracks.
"Three Deep Breaths is a shoebox full of strange little treasures from the last four years. Songs about being young until suddenly you're not as young, falling in love with people who rearrange the furniture in your brain, and finding yourself halfway across the world or halfway down a hole you didn't know was there. The great big dizzying highs, the turbulent new lows, the strange fluorescent purgatory of paying bills and trying to be a person," the band said in a statement.
"We've watched the years get weirder, the stakes get higher, the dreams get bigger, and the hangovers become a different challenge. Somewhere between all the wreckage and the wonder, there’s a life taking shape. A cross section of the thing. The crepe and the splatter. Wouldn't take any of it back."
Shag Rock have also shared new track 'ikea believer', a shimmering, slow-burn about the gap between the life we imagine and the reality we end up with.
"A turbid build-up, a reflective reprieve. A surprisingly thumping finale. The expectation of a relationship and the quiet realities. IKEA sells you a dream, you go buy it, you adjust or maybe don't. You're grateful. You made some errors. You come to terms with what it feels like to not belong where you thought you so definitely should have," the band said of the song.
