MusicSA is pumped to announce the return of the South Australian Music Awards, taking place on Tuesday 10 November at the AEC Theatre.

A celebration of SA's incredible music scene, nominations are now open, with artists, bands, industry people or passionate music lovers able to nominate themselves or an artist, band or industry professional who deserves recognition on SA music's night of nights.

There are 34 award categories, including Best Song, Best Aboriginal Or Torres Strait Islander Artist, Best Live Music Photographer and Best New Artist, across two voting streams: Industry Voted awards judged by an independent panel of judges, and the People’s Choice awards voted by the public.

Nominees must have commercially released music between August 2 2025 and Aug 1 2026, with entries open from now until monday 31 August at 11:59pm ACST.

The 2025 SA Music Awards were dominated by rising popstar aleksiah, who followed up four wins at the 2024 ceremony with another four, taking home Best Song for her track 'Clothes Off', Best Solo Artist and Best Release for her EP Cry About It, along with the People’s Choice Pop Award.

DEM MOB also cleaned up, winning Best Regional Artist and Best Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander Artist in the Major categories, along with Best Music Educator in the Industry Awards and the People’s Choice Award for Hip Hop.

Other artists celebrated on the night included Oscar the Wild and Ella Ion, who both won two awards apiece, with Oscar the Wild taking out Best Group and the People’s Choice Award for Rock and Ion winning Best New Artist and the People’s Choice Award for Folk, and effie isobel, who claimed Best Music Video for her track 'Moon Made'.
