Melbourne-based singer-songwriter Rowena Wise is set to release her sophomore album, Bad Things Feel Good*, on Friday 6 August, and to celebrate, has revealed a stack of Australian tour dates.

Following the release of her highly praised 2024 debut record Senseless Acts of Beauty, Wise's forthcoming release comprises 10 tracks about life, relationships and mental health.

Taking to social media to announce the record, Wise wrote: "I think I made this record while trying to understand how to live with contradiction. How to be loving and selfish. Honest and avoidant. Strong and deeply unwell sometimes. A lot of these songs came from moments where I didn’t really recognise myself anymore, but also knew I couldn’t go backwards. It’s about heartbreak, mental health, desire, family, attachment, self-betrayal, and trying to become a person you can actually stand to be alone with. I can’t wait to share it with you."

Wise's tour kicks off at Howler in Melbourne on Friday 15 October, continuing with shows at Castlemaine's Bridge Hotel on Saturday 16 October, Blue Mountain's Private House Show on Thursday 22 October, Sydney's The Vanguard on Friday 23 October, Thirroul's Railway Hotel on Saturday 24 October, Brizzy's Black Bear Lodge on Thursday 29 October, Mapleton's famous Mapleton Pub on Friday 30 October and Hobart's Altar Bar on Friday 13 November, wrapping up at Fremante's Mojo's on Friday 20 November. Sadly, there is no Adelaide date.

Inspired by '60s folk, indie rock and garage pop, Rowena Wise moved to Melbourne from Perth at age 18 to chase her musical dreams.

Since the release of her 2018 debut single 'Diary', which has amassed over 10 million streams and earned airplay across triple j, double j and Unearthed, Wise has been growing a fanbase across the country thanks to her raw, intimate compositions.

Wise has toured alongside The Paper Kites, Medium Build, Didirri, Ball Park Music, Holy Holy, Bernard Fanning and Paul Dempsey and has appeared at festivals such as The Great Escape (UK), SXSW (USA), Queenscliff Music Festival and Party in the Paddock.
