It’s a good day to be a Radio Free Alice fan, with the Naarm/Melbourne quartet sharing their tender new single, ‘Lunch Money’.
The reverb-saturated track is the band’s first release on Atlantic Records (out in Australia via Warner Music Australia) and arrives ahead of the band’s performance at the Governor’s Ball Festival in New York this weekend.
“‘Lunch Money’ came together last year in a soundcheck in Nottingham while on tour in the UK,” explains frontman Noah Learmonth. “It was the back-end of the tour and it had started getting really cold. I remember us writing it on the stage at the empty venue, all with jackets, scarves and gloves on. It was one of those songs that came together pretty instantly.”
The track is accompanied by a music video directed by Pema Baldwin that shows the band out and a bout in New York City.
