Radio Free Alice Announce Debut Album 'What's In Between'

The Naarm/Melbourne post-punk act have also share new single, 'Crying With You'.

Naarm/Melbourne post-punk outfit Radio Free Alice have announced the release of their long-awaited debut album, What's In Between, out Friday 30 October via Atlantic Records.

Working with acclaimed producer Peter Katis (Interpol, Death Cab for Cutie, The National), Radio Free Alice's What's In Between shapes as one of the most anticipated releases of the year.

"It's a huge relief to finally announce the album," says lead vocalist Noah Learmonth "We've lived with these songs for such a long time, and they've become such a big part of our lives, so knowing there's now a date when they'll finally exist outside of us feels incredibly cathartic."

Along with the previously released singles 'Rule 31', 'Lunch Money' and 'Kick in the Shins', the band have today shared the album's rollicking fourth single 'Crying With You'.

"We wrote 'Crying With You' whilst on a writing retreat in Joshua Tree in California," explains Learmonth. "We were staying at this beautiful property owned by producer Nicolas Vernhes, surrounded by desert and Joshua trees for about a week and recorded a handful of demos and jams. The verse and chorus were originally different songs, but we stitched them together, which is something we like to do quite a lot."

'Crying With You' arrives alongside an official music video directed by Milo Hume.

Currently in the UK, where over 500 fans showed up to their London pop-up show, the lads are riding a wave of good publicity ahead of their performance at Reading and Leeds this weekend.

Radio Free Alice are touring across the UK and Europe from now until November, playing a mix of headline and festival dates, before returning home and hopefully announcing a national tour.
