Polaris Return With Dynamic New Single 'Without You'

The track arrives ahead of the band's upcoming appearance at Good Things Festival.

Three years on from their last official release, Sydney's Polaris return with their devastating new single 'Without You', out now via ADA in AU/NZ and SharpTone Records.

'Without You' was born from the pain and heartache following the loss of bandmate and brother Ryan Siew in 2023. The track channels grief, love and heartbreak and pairs melodic riffs with a gut punch of a breakdown, showcasing Polaris' continued growth as songwriters.

"Never did we imagine that we would one day have reason to write this song. But three years on, we find ourselves still making sense of this immeasurable tragedy, and what it has meant to be left in the wake," the band shared in a statement.

"This is the sound of crushing loss, shock, grief and heartache, and the beginning of us learning how to share that with the world."

The band have also shared a music video for 'Without You' that was directed by Third Eye Visuals and is dedicated to Siew.

Formed in 2012, Polaris have slowly climbed their way to the top of Australia's metalcore scene. The band have released three studio albums – The Mortal Coil (2017), The Death of Me (2020) and Fatalism (2023), with the latter topping the ARIA Albums Chart – garnering millions of streams and multiple ARIA Award nominations.

Their live shows are explosive, with Polaris having performed alongside the likes of Linkin Park and Electric Callboy and taken to the stage at festivals including Knotfest Australia, Download Festival, Rock Am Ring & Rock Im Park, Jera On Air, Rock for People, Big Pineapple Music Festival and more.

Polaris are gearing up to join I Prevail on their UK and European tour before returning home as part of the Good Things Festival lineup, where local fans will get the chance to hear 'Without You' live for the very first time.
