After spending the past 12 months celebrating the 30th anniversary Grinspoon, frontman Phil Jamieson is going solo once again, announcing the release of his long-awaited sophomore album, 10Charlie, out Friday 14 August (pre-order here).
The nine-track record has been described as Jamieson at his most personal and direct. Produced by Oscar Dawson and featuring collaborations with Davey Lane, Rob Muinos, Ben Edgar and Soph Ozard, 10Charlie finds Jamieson at his introspective best.
“This album is much more personal than my first record. In times of intense turbulence, I’ve written what I’ve needed to hear,” Jamieson says. “It’s a balm for my soul. 10Charlie is a boarding pass. You are not in the exit row, your luggage can be stored under the seat in front of you. Please follow all cabin crew directions and fasten your seat belt for take off.”
Along with announcing 10Charlie, Jamieson has shared the album’s first single, ‘Weekends’, a spirited indie rock celebration, and revealed he’s hitting the road on a massive 44-date Australian tour.
Stopping in all eight states and territories, Jamieson’s tour runs from June to September and includes four dates in SA at Norton Summit’s The Scenic Hotel on Thursday 9 July, Adelaide’s Ed Castle on Friday 10 July, Port Lincoln’s Port Lincoln Brewing Co on Saturday 11 July and Cabarita’s Cabarita Bowlo on Wednesday 15 July.
Tickets for all shows go on sale at 9am AEST Monday 13 April via philjamieson.com.au.

Best known as the frontman of Aussie rock royalty Grinspoon, who have dominated the charts for 30 years, Jamieson has also forged a successful solo career.
Often performing intimate gigs when not touring with Grinspoon, Jamieson has released only one album, 2022’s Somebody Else, which peaked at #51 on the ARIA Album Charts.
Jamieson’s upcoming tour is a great opportunity for longtime fans to hear his new material live for the first time and witness one of the country’s great frontmen in action.
Catch Phil Jamieson performing at The Scenic Hotel in Norton Summit on Thursday 9 July, the Ed Castle in Adelaide on Friday 10 July, Port Lincoln Brewing Co in Port Lincoln on Saturday 11 July and Cabarita Bowlo in Cabarita on Wednesday 15 July. Ticketing information is available via philjamieson.com.au.
