Pavlov’s Dog Plot Australian Tour 2027

Prog rockers Pavlov’s Dog return to Australia in 2027 to perform their landmark debut album, Pampered Menial, in its entirety for fans.

After selling out their debut tour earlier this year, Pavlov’s Dog return by overwhelming demand alongside longtime friend and collaborator Iain Matthews (Fairport Convention, Matthews Southern Comfort), one of Britain’s most revered singer-songwriters.

Fans can expect to hear all their favourite tracks from Pampered Menial, including 'Julia', 'Episode', 'Song Dance' and 'Natchez Trace', along with cuts from the band's deep discography.

Pavlov's Dog Australian tour begins in Melbourne at the Palais Theatre on Friday 9 July 2027, followed by shows at Adelaide's The Gov on Sunday 11 July, Perth's Astor Theatre on Wednesday 14 July and Sydney's City Recital Hall on Friday 16 July, with the band wrapping things up in Brisbane at The Tivoli on Sunday 18 July.

Pavlov's Dog are one of those bands who have endured through rock's many evolutions over a career spanning more than 50 years.

Led by the inimitable David Surkamp, their 1975 debut album Pampered Menial was a massive success, blending prog rock, folk and pop into nine tracks of mythology building msuic.

Despite the band's initial run being short, they have reunited several times over the years, and since 2005, have been releasing new music along with touring the globe.

After half a century of waiting, Australian fans finally have the opportunity to witness one of rock’s most fascinating and influential cult bands perform their landmark debut.
