Technical death metal titans Origin return to Australia in 2026 for the first time in over a decade.
The metal quartet have locked in a blistering run of six shows across the country in June, including headlining Sydney Dethfest 2026.
Hailed by many as one of the most gnarly technical extreme metal bands on the planet, Origin’s long-overdue Aussie return begins at Sydney Dethfest 2026 at Crowbar in Sydney on Sunday 7 June. The band then plays shows at Canberra’s The Baso on Monday 8 June, Brisbane’s Soapbox on Wednesday 10 June, Adelaide’s Ed Castle on Thursday 11 June, Melbourne’s Stay Gold and Frankston’s Singing Bird Studios on Saturday 13 June.

Founded in 1990, Origin has released eight studio albums across their career, with the band’s breakthrough coming in 2008 with the release of Antithesis, which peaked at #21 on the Billboard Top Heatseekers chart.
