Less than three months after the passing of heavy metal legend Ozzy Osbourne, a new documentary chronicling the final years of his life is set to drop on October 7 via Paramount+.
Ozzy: No Escape From Now, which takes its name from the 2022 Ozzy song, is a feature-length doco directed by BAFTA Award-winner Tania Alexander and produced by the Osbourne family.
The two-hour documentary captures the final six years of Ozzy’s life and the health battles he encountered after a near-death fall in 2019. The album goes behind the scenes of the making of his last two albums, Ordinary Man (2020) and Patient Number 9 (2022), and Ozzy’s fight to return to the stage for his final ever performance.
The film features interviews with the Osbourne clan – Ozzy, Sharon and their children Aimee, Kelly and Jack – and a host of his musical peers, including Tony Iommi (Black Sabbath), Duff McKagan and Slash (Guns N’ Roses), Robert Trujillo and James Hetfield (Metallica), Billy Idol, Maynard James Keenan (Tool), Chad Smith (Red Hot Chili Peppers), Ozzy’s longstanding guitarist Zakk Wylde, Andrew Watt, Billy Morrison, Tom Morello (Rage Against the Machine), Mike Inez (Alice In Chains) and Billy Corgan (Smashing Pumpkins).

“Detailing his numerous corrective surgeries, escalating health issues and the progressive effects of his Parkinson’s diagnosis, Ozzy: No Escape From Now delivers a brave, unvarnished and relatable portrait of a man, highlighting how Ozzy’s ongoing chronic pain impacted his mental health and informed the music he made during this period,” reads the official synopsis.
“Ozzy: No Escape From Now was never intended as a posthumous film. “However, following his death on July 22, 2025, the documentary now stands as a testament to Ozzy’s courage, wit, determination and talent — qualities that ensure he remains a hero to millions around the world.”
Ozzy: No Escape From Now arrives on Tuesday 7 October on Paramount+, the same day as the previously announced Ozzy memoir, Last Rites, drops, which you can pre-order here.
