MusicSA’s annual talent showcase of unsigned Adelaide/Kaurna Yerta artists, Scouted, is back bigger and better in 2025.
This fantastic event gives emerging artists the chance to perform live in front of labels, managers and industry personnel from across the globe.
Scouted 2025 also aligns with the Australian Independent Record Labels Association’s (AIR) annual Indie-Con Australia conference that takes over Adelaide/Kaurna Yerta from July 31 to August 1.
This year’s Indie-Con is extra special as it coincides with the 20th anniversary and first ever Australian Edition of the American Association of Independent Music (A2IM) Indie Week, meaning there will be a greater influx of industry reps from across the world with their eyes on local talent.
Those selected to perform at Scouted 2025 are not only paid for their time, but are given the chance to showcase their stuff in front of national and international industry leaders, from booking agents to indie label headhonchos and everyone in between.
MusicSA will also offer extra support for successful Scouted 2025 applicants via industry development training and set up networking opportunities with delegates attending this year’s Indie-Con Australia.
MusicSA CEO, Christine Schloithe shares, “This year is a landmark moment for South Australian music when the annual Indie-Con Australia conference joins with the inaugural Australian A2IM Indie Week, made possible by the Music Development Office and the South Australian Government. This year’s Indie-Con will draw an unprecedented number of influential national and international music industry reps into Adelaide.
“Scouted 2025 sits right at the heart of this incredible week, offering local artists unparalleled access to key global industry figureheads. For those artists who secure a coveted spot at Scouted, this is where their music careers can truly take flight.”
Those keen to get involved can submit their application via this form, with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander artists who prefer an alternative application method welcome to directly contact Chelsea at chelsea@musicsa.com.au for assistance.
Submissions for Scouted 2025 are open from now until 11:59pm local time on Friday, May 2, with the Scouted 2025 showcase taking place on Friday, August 1. For more details, visit musicsa.com.au.
