MusicSA’s Scouted returns in 2025 with another epic showcase of Adelaide talent. Taking place on the final night of AIR’s Indie-Con Australia Conference and A2IM’s Indie Week Australian Edition, Scouted features 14 unsigned acts performing across three venues in the West End.
Scouted offers emerging artists the opportunity to perform in front of influential national and international music industry figures, including record label executives, booking agents, festival programmers and music media, alongside local audiences keen to check out the next big thing.
Held on Friday 1 August at Jive, The Grace Emily and Ed Castle, this year’s genre-spanning bill includes everything from folk and hip hop to bubblegum pop and indie rock.
Some of the artists performing at this year’s Scouted 2025 include Arrernte singer-songwriter Scott Rathman Jnr, punk rockers LOLA, DIY hip hop artist Nathan Hui-Yi and alternative folk artist Bella Brinkworth. You can check out the full lineup below with links to their music.
Speaking on the annual event, MusicSA CEO, Christine Schloithe, shares, “MusicSA is genuinely thrilled to unveil this year’s Scouted line-up! We received a record number of entries, and the bar was set really high, making it a huge challenge and process for the judges. Running over three venues this year, Scouted 2025 will showcase some of the best, brightest and most diverse music talent in the state. These artists will certainly impress the national and international delegates in the audience on the night – they are a fantastic representation of the great artists and music coming out of South Australia.
South Australian Minister for Arts, Andrea Michaels MP, says, “South Australia is a renowned UNESCO City of Music and the Malinauskas Government is committed to cementing that legacy by supporting opportunities for local artists as well as boosting our live music venues. Scouted provides local artists the opportunity to connect with new audiences and showcase their talents to the delegates of Indie-Con and Indie Week - Australian Edition, while drawing people to Adelaide’s favourite music venues.”
Australian Independent Record Labels Association (AIR) CEO, Maria Amato, adds, “AIR is delighted to have its conference program end with Scouted, MusicSA’s unsigned talent showcase, introducing great South Australian talent to our industry delegates and the broader music community.”
