MusicSA Offers Regional & Remote Music Summit Travel Funding
Successful applicants will received between $1000 to $2500 to cover costs of attending the summit

Teaming up with the Government of South Australia through CreateSA and the Australian Government through Music Australia, MusicSA has announced the opening of Travel Bursaries for the 2026 Regional and Remote Music Summit for South Australian music industry representatives.
Held in Berrin/Mount Gambier, South Australia, from Wednesday 28 to Friday 30 October, the Regional and Remote Music Summit is a fantastic event championing regional creatives who live outside of metropolitan centres.
A total Travel Bursary fund of up to $25,500 is available in South Australia, with those lucky enough to receive support having access to bursaries ranging from $1000 to $2500 that applicants can use to cover travel, accommodation and other costs associated with attending the summit.
The bursaries are open to all music industry representatives working and living in regional South Australia, with several financial levels of support dependent on the travel distance to attend the summit.
“This regional music industry gathering is so important," says MusicSA CEO Christine Schloithe. "We rarely have the chance to host the national music industry in regional South Australia. We also know the cost of living is biting at the moment, as are travel and fuel costs. MusicSA applauds CreateSA and Music Australia for supporting travel bursaries for South Australian music industry professionals, enabling local South Australians to travel and attend the Summit in October 2026 along with national peers from all around Australia.”
South Australian Deputy Premier and Minister for Arts, Kyam Maher, adds, "The Labor Government is proud to support travel bursaries that will help artists, and music businesses from regional and remote South Australian communities attend the 2026 Regional & Remote Music Summit in Mount Gambier.
"These bursaries will ensure more people can take part in important conversations about the future of regional music, regardless of where they live, while creating valuable opportunities to build networks, share experiences and develop new skills.
"Hosting the Summit in Mount Gambier is a significant opportunity for South Australia to showcase the strength, creativity and contribution of our regional music sector. By helping people from across South Australia attend, we are supporting a more connected, inclusive and sustainable music industry that reflects the diversity of regional and remote Australia."
