Brizzy surf rockers Mid Drift are hitting the road this May and June in support of their recently released EP, Good At Avoiding.
The EP features singles including ‘Whiplash’ and ‘Madness’, and is another blissful release from the rising outfit.
After wowing fans at this year’s Laneway Festival, Mid Drift are getting ready to support Ocean Alley on their upcoming tour before embarking on their own headline run of shows.
Mid Drift’s tour begins in Sydney at UTS Underground on Friday 22 May and continues with shows at Canberra’s Fun Time Pony on Saturday 23 May, Adelaide’s Jive on Friday 29 May, Fremantle’s Mojo’s on Saturday 30 May, Perth’s The Y HQ on Sunday 31 May and Melbourne’s The Espy on Friday 5 June, with the final show at Brisbane’s The Triffid on Saturday 6 June.

Mid Drift have quickly become one of the must-watch bands to emerge from Brisbane’s indie rock scene over the past couple of years.
Gaining a reputation for their sun-soaked melodies and breezy riffs, the group sold out two headline tours in 2025 while also supporting the likes of Ocean Alley, Old Mervs and DICE and appearing at Australian festivals such as Spaced Out Festival and Rolling Sets Festival.
Their new EP, Good At Avoiding, is a joyous listen, and their upcoming tour gives fans a chance to hear songs from the release live for the first time.
