After an incredible inaugural event last year on Kaurna Country, two-day music and arts festival Porch & Recreation returns in 2026 with another bumper lineup.
Once again taking over the state heritage-listed Burnside venue, The Burnside Ballroom, the festival runs alongside national events Vivid Sydney, Rising Melbourne and Dark MOFO, offering SA music lovers the chance to experience an eclectic lineup spanning international, national and local artists and DJs.
Speaking of artists, get your dancing shows on Friday when London-based French-Senegalese singer-songwriter Anaiis, American jazz multi-instrumentalist Kahil El'Zabar, ‘80s-influenced rock meets synth Bunhungura/Gapuwiyak project Drifting Clouds and Naarm/Melbourne collective The Pro-Teens, performing the music of MF Doom, all take to the stage.
The good times continue on Saturday, with American jazz-inspired indie rocker Mei Semones, ‘60s pop-influenced artist Way Dynamic and underground ambient electronic act GODTET all performing.
More artists to be announced in the lead-up to the festival over the coming weeks.
Run by local legend Sharni Honor, the owner of Porch Records, the multi-day festival also features a curated program of visual art installations, a pop-up record store, a cocktail lounge and a plethora of food and beverage vendors highlighting the state’s incredible culinary delights.
Those keen on securing tickets early can sign up to the Porch & Recreation mailing list here, giving you 24 access to pre-sale tickets before the general on-sale release commences at 12am Thursday 2 April via porchrecords.com.au.

Porch Records head honcho Sharni Honor has come a long way since the creation of The Porch Sessions in 2013 – a travelling backyard music festival. The Porch Sessions hosted over 250 shows, four national tours and over 700 artists before COVID caused its unfortunate demise.
Not one to rest on her laurels, Honor began slinging records in pizza boxers during lockdown, leading to the opening of physical record store Porch Records inside Summertown Studio. More than just a record store, the space also includes a coffee shop and retail space, transforming into a live music venue at night, hosting international artists and upcoming local acts.
Honor’s journey has led to the creation of Porch & Recreation, a music festival embracing community and diversity that quickly became the talk of the town last year with a huge lineup featuring UK artist Mount Kimbie alongside Surprise Chef, Emma Donovan, Grace Cummings, Ella Thompson, Cool Sounds, Alexander Flood, Shodashi & Kara Manansala.
In Honor’s own words, “We live and breathe music. And just want to do all we can to bring it to the people. It is our purpose, and it pushes us to create things of beauty for the community.”
Porch & Recreation takes place at Burnside Ballroom on Friday 12 and Saturday 13 June. Ticketing information is available via porchrecords.com.au.
