One of Australia’s most understated voices, Liz Stringer, is embarking on an epic 17-date tour across the country from October to December.
The tour coincides with the release of Stringer’s new single, ‘To Survive’, which is taken from her 2025 album The Second High. An emotive piano ballad, the track details the real-life struggles of a young homeless man living on the streets of Melbourne.
“It has made me so angry and despairing for so long that we need to continually ask ourselves why, in a country as rich as Australia, are many of its constituents struggling to survive?” Stringer posted on social media.
The tour sees Stringer touring in support of the Under One Roof initiative, which aims to provide support services for those who are homeless or at risk of homelessness. Stringer is partnering with Wombat Housing Support Services and collaborating with “grassroots community support organisations in each tour location to shine a light on the housing crisis and the growing wealth divide crippling so many people around the country, while raising money for these organisations' vital services.”
Kicking things off with five UK dates, Stringer returns home for the Australian leg of the tour in October, beginning with a performance at Water Tank Cafe in Alice Springs/Arrernte on Thursday 31 October.
Stringer’s tour takes in dates in both major cities and regional towns, including Perth/Whadjuk Nyoongar, Anglesea/Wadawurrung, Bowraville/Gumbaynggirr, Sydney/Gadigal and two gigs in Adelaide/Kaurna, with the final show occurring on Friday 13 December at Meeniyan Town Hall in Meeniyan/Brataualung.
Tickets for all shows are on sale now via lizstringer.com.
Across a career spanning more than two decades, Liz Stringer has demonstrated her prowess as both a songwriter and vocalist.
The AIR Award winner has released seven studio albums, with her most recent, The Second High, described as “an intelligent, assured album from a singular musician” by The Guardian.
A generational talent, Stringer seems unconcerned with the popular vote, crafting personal and impactful music that speaks to the hearts and minds of people around the world.
Catch Liz Stringer at Lion Arts Factory on Monday 4 November and Trinity Sessions on Tuesday 5 November. Tickets on sale now via lizstringer.com.
