Sad news for the Adelaide music scene, with live music venue Woodshed announcing its closure.
The Royal Park venue, which also acts as a bar and popular meeting spot for lovers of rock, is sadly shutting up shop at the end of the week.
Taking to social media to alert music lovers of the venue’s closure, the owners didn’t disclose why they were closing the doors, instead using the post to thank everyone who has supported them.
“After much thought and consideration, we've made the difficult decision to close the doors of Woodshed.
“This was not an easy choice. What started as a dream of great live music and quality craft beer turned into something far more meaningful - a place where strangers became friends, where bands found a stage, and unforgettable nights were shared.
“To every band and artist who played on our stage - thank you. Your sound filled our walls, your passion fuelled our nights, and your performances created memories that will echo long after the lights go down. You are the heartbeat of this venue.
“To our incredible staff - thank you for the long nights, the quick pours, the sound checks, the heavy lifts, and the genuine smiles. Your dedication, hustle, and love for what we built made this place special. We simply could not have done this without you.
“And to our loyal customers - thank you for every show you attended, every new brew you tried, and every moment you shared with us. Your support kept the taps flowing and the music alive.”
This Sunday 22 Febraury will be the final day the Woodshed is operational and everyone who has visited over the years is encouraged to join “for one last round, one more song, and a proper sendoff.”
