It’s all coming up Milhouse for rising pop artist Kita Alexander. After supporting megastar Dua Lipa on her sold-out Radical Optimism tour across Australia and New Zealand, Alexander has announced her own solo headline tour to celebrate the release of new single, ‘Press Pause’.
An uplifting ditty showcasing Alexander’s effortless vocals, the Brisbane artist says the track is “about the quiet power of being present for someone when their world feels like it’s falling apart.”
She adds, “It’s not about fixing things or promising it’ll all be okay — it’s about holding space, staying still, and letting them know they’re not alone in the chaos.”
Fans can expect to hear ‘Press Play’ alongside unreleased material and tracks from her 2024 debut album, Young in Love, when Alexander hits the road later this year.
The Press Pause Tour kicks off in Melbourne at Northcote Theatre on Friday, July 11 and continues with dates at Brisbane’s Princess Theatre on Saturday, July 12, Sydney’s The Factory on Saturday, July 26 and Adelaide’s Lion Arts Factory on Friday, August 8, before things wrap up at Perth’s The Rechabite on Friday, August 15.
Tickets for all shows are on sale Tuesday, April 8 at 9:30am local time via livenation.com.au.
