After announcing a run of East Coast shows, American folk troubadour Jeffrey Martin has now added Adelaide and Perth to his itinerary.
Heading our way for the first time in 2026, Martin’s tour is in support of his upcoming live album, Alive July 25, 2025.
Recorded at Portland’s The Showdown, the album captures the magic of Martin performing in an intimate venue where every mistake and crowd interaction make for an authentic portrayal of the singer-songwriter and his music.
“The live show will always mean more to me than any studio recordings,” Martin says of the album. “Every night is different and will never exist again. The character of the room, the energy of the crowd, the moments between songs, wherever my mind and heart and voice are at – it all mixes together to create something new and ephemeral each night.
“I wanted to capture a single show, no edits, no reordering of songs, no compiling of takes from multiple shows. A record of a night, a documentary sense. I was so lucky to have Sam Weber join me on guitar.
“The best recordings are the ones where you forget you are recording, and Sam’s brilliant playing made me forget entirely.”
Touring with support from Matthew Colin, Martin kicks off his first Australian tour at Port Fairy Folk Festival from Friday 6 to Monday 9 March.
Shows follow at St Kilda’s George Lane on Wednesday 11 March, Melbourne’s Northcote Social Club on Thursday 12 March, Sydney’s Factory Floor on Friday 13 March, the Blue Mountains Music Festival on Saturday 14 and Sunday 15 March and Adelaide’s The Ed Castle on Tuesday 17 March, with the final gig taking place at Brisbane’s Junk Bar on Wednesday 18 March.
Tickets for all shows are on sale now via lovepolice.com.au.

Jeffrey Martin has quietly amassed a global following through his intricate storytelling, which has seen him tour the US and Europe.
Releasing his debut album, Gold in the Water, in 2009, it was 2023’s Thanks God We Left The Garden that saw Martin breakthrough as an artist. Recorded in a backyard shack in southeast Portland with two cheap microphones, the album is honest, heartbreaking and intimate.
Touring Australia for the first time next year, this is your chance to catch the modern folk singer live in the flesh.
Catch Jeffrey Martin performing at the Ed Castle on Tuesday 17 March. Tickets on sale now at lovepolice.com.au.
