Following the release of her new EP, WHAT IS AND WHAT ISN’T, rising star ixaras has announced an Australian tour.
The run of shows takes place across January next year and includes three headline rock shows in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane and two intimate acoustic gigs in Perth and Adelaide, with the tour showcasing the many sides of ixaras.
ixaras will be joined on the road by indie pop artist Charli Lucas, who is fast becoming a name to watch.
“I’m so excited to see everyone on tour just over a month away,” says ixaras. “These shows and this EP mean so much to me, and having Charli Lucas join as the opener makes it even more special. I can’t wait to share this new chapter with all of you live.”
ixaras national tour begins in Sydney at The Loft on Friday 10 January and continues with shows at Melbourne’s The Leadbeater on Saturday 11 January and Brisbane’s The Brightside on Saturday 18 January. The final two intimate acoustic gigs take place at Perth’s YHQ on Thursday 23 January and Adelaide’s Lion Arts Factory on Friday 24 January.

The tour arrives shortly after the release of ixaras’ EP WHAT IS AND WHAT ISN’T, which includes the songs ‘THE CITY’, ‘DO YOU LIKE GIRLS?’, ‘WHATS GOOD’ and ‘CASUALLY’.
Discussing the release, ixaras said, “I know who I am, and who I am not. Even if you know what's real nobody can fully know what is and what isn’t. This body of work is a release of my fears, insecurities, lessons and truth that I had to learn while navigating these past couple years.
“I had to kill part of myself to make this EP because not only was I deeply scared to be ambitious, but living in Australia there is a secret shame for wanting to succeed. This music is not only a mantra for those who want to have control of their own life, but it’s me letting go of the past and shedding old skin to make space for what I have planned for the future.”
