Icehouse Reveal 40th Anniversary 'Man of Colours' 2027 Australian Tour Supports

Icehouse have revealed the main tour supports for their 40th anniversary Man of Colours tour, along with adding extra shows.

The band are excited to hit the road with their good friends Suze DeMarchi (Baby Animals) and Michael Paynter (Jimmy Barnes, Jesus Christ Superstar, Whispering Jack: The John Farnham Musical), who will appear at all shows on the tour.

"I'm so excited to be joining Icehouse for the Man Of Colours 40th Anniversary Tour," said DeMarchi. Iva's music has been a big influence on us all and I've been a fan since the Flowers days and played that cassette in my little green Toyota Corolla KE20 until it was chewed up and spat out!! I hope to see all of you out there for this very special album."

Michael Paynter added, "When I joined Icehouse in 2011, my life and career changed immediately. Little did I know that 15 years later, they would have become my dear family. It is so incredible to be back on the stage with Iva and the gang. I can’t wait to lend my voice to some new surprises and just to be part of performing these great classics again. See you on the road!"

Icehouse have also added three more shows to the tour in Hobart, Melbourne and Sydney that commence at Newcastle Entertainment Centre in Newcastle on Saturday 5 June. The tour then heads to Brisbane's Entertainment Centre on Saturday 12 June, TikTok Entertainment Centre in Sydney on Saturday 19 June, Margaret Court Arena in Melbourne on Saturday 26 June, Adelaide Entertainment Centre on Saturday 3 July and RAC Arena in Perth on Saturday 10 July. The three new concerts take place at Hobart's MyState Bank Arena on Saturday 31 July, Melbourne's Margaret Court Arena on Saturday 7 August and Sydney's TikTok Entertainment Centre on Saturday 14 August.

Released on September 21, 1987, Icehouse's Man of Colours went straight to the top of the charts in Australia and New Zealand. The band's fifth album spent a total of 11 weeks at #1 in Australia, sold over 1 million copies and spawned the hits 'Crazy', 'Electric Blue', 'Man of Colours', 'My Obsession' and 'Nothing Too Serious'.

The album went on to win ARIA Awards for Album of the Year and Highest Selling Album, with Icehouse's upcoming tour not only a celebration of the album's 40th anniversary, but of the band themselves, who are undertaking their first indoor concert tour in over two decades.

"The band and I are excited to be celebrating the Man of Colours anniversary with you all. We’ve never played some of the songs from the album, so this tour is going to include some firsts for us as well as our fans," said founder Iva Davies.

"These seated, indoor shows are going to be different for the band and the audiences too. Compared to the big outdoor shows we’ve mainly been playing over the past 15 years, indoors means we get to play more songs and create an even bigger show for us all.

"These are going to be very, very special shows in celebration of our best-known album, its songs and the fans who’ve made it a part of their lives over the past 40 years. See you there!"
