Holding Absence Announce Australian Tour 2026
The Welsh rock trio will be joined on the road by Cali metalcore outfit Kingdom of Giants.

No strangers to our shores, Welsh rockers Holding Absence have revealed they are heading our way on their first headline tour.
Taking their name from the Hammock song ‘Holding Your Absence’, the Cardiff trio have announced a five-date Aussie tour taking place in August with support from California metalcore outfit Kingdom of Giants.
The tour comes as Holding Absence begin a new album cycle, with the band having released their first taste of new music in three years, ‘Whisper of a Dream’, in April.
The tour begins in Brisbane at The Princess Theatre on Friday 14 August, followed by dates at Sydney’s Liberty Hall on Saturday 15 August, Melbourne’s 170 Russell on Sunday 16 August, Adelaide’s Lion Arts Factory on Wednesday 19 August and Perth’s Magnet House on Thursday 20 August.

Emerging in 2015, Holding Absence rose from the ashes of Oceans Apart, releasing several singles and an EP before dropping their self-titled debut album in 2019.
Although none of the original members remains, the current lineup of Lucas Woodland, Scott Carey and Benjamin Elliott have blazed a path across the world with their absorbing rock tracks, with recent release ‘Whisper of a Dream’ giving fans a sample of what they can expect from Holding Absence’s next project.
Having supported the likes of Thornhill, Void Of Vision and You Me At Six, Holding Absence can’t wait to tear up Aussie stages on their own headline tour this August.
