Devastating news for South Aussie music fans, with Harvest Rock not going ahead this year.

Festival organisers took to social media to announce the decision to take a” fallow year in 2026.”

In a statement posted on their social media accounts, Harvest Rock organisers had this to say about the cancellation: “Harvest Rock will be taking a fallow year in 2026. We know this will be disappointing news to many of you, but good things take time, and we’re already working on future plans.

”We appreciate the ongoing support of the South Australian Government in making the event a huge success to date, and we look forward to partying with you soon.”

This is particularly disappointing after last year’s event was so well received despite the rain having an impact on the Saturday.

It’s been an up-and-down journey for Harvest Rock since the inaugural festival launched in 2022 with headliners Jack White, alongside Crowded House and Sam Fender.

Returning the following year with a lineup featuring Beck, Jamiroquai, and Nile Rodgers & Chic, the festival didn’t return in 2024, only to be resurrected last year with the Strokes closing the Saturday night and Jelly Roll the Sunday evening.

Hopefully this is only a one-year break and not the end of what has become one of the country's best live music experiences.

Keep up to date with all things Harvest Rock here.
