Cali post-hardcore beasts Hail the Sun have announced their first-ever headline tour of Australia.
After spending much of last year touring extensively across North America, the UK, Europe and South America, the five-piece’s upcoming Aussie jaunt arrives in support of their latest record, cut. turn. fade. back.
“The album touches on a lot of topics such as military atrocities, humanitarian crises, addiction and love being lost, as well as death,” says guitarist Aric Garcia.
“So many of those things are recurring, and as much as we'd like for things to change and be better and live in a perfect world, it's more that things seem to get better for a little bit and then take a turn - and before we know it, we're right back where we started.”
Joining Hail the Sun on the road are fellow American post-hardcore rockers The Fall of Troy and Melbourne prog-rockers Closure in Moscow.
The tour begins in Brisbane at Crowbar on Thursday 25 June, with dates following at Sydney’s Crowbar on Friday 26 June, Melbourne’s Howler on Saturday 27 June and Adelaide’s Lion Arts Factory on Sunday 28 June, with the final show at Perth’s Rosemount Hotel on Tuesday 30 June.
Tickets for all shows are on sale now via birdsrobe.com.
