Five-time Grammy Winner Marcus Miller Announces Australian Tour 2027

Legendary bassist Marcus Miller makes his Australian return in 2027 with a national five-date tour.

The five-time Grammy Award winner is also a composer, producer and bandleader who has collaborated with some of music's biggest names across a career spanning more than four decades, including Miles Davis, Herbie Hancock, Luther Vandross, Aretha Franklin, Bill Withers, Chaka Khan and Beyoncé.

His own recordings, film scores and productions have earned him international acclaim, UNESCO Artist for Peace status and recognition as one of the greatest bass players of all time.

Miller's Australian return commences in Perth at Riverside Theatre on Tuesday 13 April. Dates follow at Brisbane's Fortitude Music Hall on Thursday 15 April, Sydney's Enmore Theatre on Friday 16 April and Melbourne's Palais Theatre on Saturday 17 April, with the final concert in Adelaide at Thebarton Theatre on Sunday 18 April.

Growing up in a musical family, Miller is classically trained in keyboards, saxophone, and guitar in addition to bass, with his music blending jazz, funk, soul and R&B grooves across more than 10 solo albums.

He's earned a reputation for his live performances, with his last visit to Australia in 2024 praised by critics when he joined Herbie Hancock on stage at the opening night of the Melbourne International Jazz Festival.

Marcus Miller's return promises an evening with an artist whose influence reaches far beyond his own catalogue.
