Three-time Grammy-nominated blues icon Eric Bibb has shared new single ‘Muddy Waters’, the second taste of his upcoming album, One Mississippi, out January 30 via Repute Records (pre-order/pre-save here).
Following the previously released ‘This One Don’t’, Bibb’s latest knee slapper is a groovy tribute to the great Muddy Waters. The song was recorded in Sweden with producer Glen Scott (James Blunt, Shawn Mendes, Craig David) and features an all-star cast including Robbie McIntosh (electric slide guitars, dobro, resonator), Paul Jones (harp), Sven Lindvall (tuba) and Bibb on vocals and acoustic guitar.
“So happy to have Paul Jones and Robbie McIntosh onboard,” says Bibb of the song. “‘Muddy Waters’ is one of my favourite tracks from my new album One Mississippi - Glen Scott's production is a masterclass in funk.”
‘Muddy Waters’ arrives as Bibb prepares to return down under in 2026 for an extensive run of shows playing tracks from his new album alongside fan favs.
Bibb has announced 17 dates as part of the One Mississippi tour, including shows in venues across Victoria, New South Wales, Queensland, Western Australia, South Australia, the ACT and Tasmania, with his one SA show at The Gov on Tuesday 28 April.
