In unbelievable news (pun intended), British dance rock outfit EMF have announced they are touring Australia for the very first time this year.
The current lineup of James Atkin (vocals, guitars), Ian Dench (guitars, keyboards), Stevey Marsh (bass), Adrian Todd (drums) and Derry Brownson (keyboards, samples) are bringing a taste of ‘90s rave rock to venues across the country.
The party begins in Perth at Astor Theatre on Wednesday, July 30 and continues at Sydney’s Oxford Arts Factory on Friday, August 1, Adelaide’s The Gov on Saturday, August 2 and Brisbane’s Princess Theatre on Sunday, August 3, with EMF’s final hurrah taking place at Melbourne’s Corner Hotel on Thursday, August 7.
Tickets for all five shows are on sale now via Gerrard Allman Events.

Originating from Cinderford, Gloucestershire, EMF formed in 1989 and released three albums until going on hiatus in 1997. During those early years the quintet’s debut single, ‘Unbelievable’, reached #3 on the UK Singles Chart and was a #1 hit on the US Billboard Hot 100 Chart.
EMF reunited in 2001 but the shock death of bassist Zac Foley saw the remaining members step away from the band and concentrate on their own lives. A short reunion transpired between 2007-2009 before EMF finally came together for good in 2012.
They’ve since released two new studio albums, 2022s Go Go Sapiens and last year’s The Beauty and the Chaos, and continue to tour regularly across the UK and Europe.
Catch EMF at The Gov on Saturday, August 2. Tickets on sale now via Oztix.
