American singer-songwriter Amigo the Devil has announced an epic 13-date tour of Australia and New Zealand that includes both solo and full band sets.
Returning to the Southern Hemisphere just a year on from his debut tour of Australia, the energetic alt-folk artist will perform tracks from his 2024 album, Yours Until the War is Over, along with older cuts from his four album discography.
This tour will be the first time Aussie audiences get the chance to catch Amigo the Devil performing with a live band, adding another element to his already energetic stage persona. His run of shows with a full band commences at Brisbane’s The Triffid on Friday, August 8. This is followed by gigs at Sydney’s Factory Theatre on Saturday, August 9, Melbourne’s Corner Hotel on Sunday, August 10, Adelaide’s Lion Arts Factory on Tuesday, August 12 and Perth’s Amplifier Bar on Thursday, August 14.

Since the release of his debut EP, Manimals, in 2010, Amigo the Devil, aka Danny Kiranos, has captured the hearts and minds of music lovers across the globe. Influenced by the likes of Leonard Cohen and Tom Waits, Amigo the Devil crafts intimate and personal stories that don’t shy away from the ugliness and honesty of the human experience.
The banjo-playing alt-rocker has cultivated a loyal fanbase through his music and released four albums across his 15-year career, including his most recent, last year’s Yours Until the War is Over.
Everything Is Noise called the album a “veritable journey around the gamut – and often the extreme edges – of what it is to feel human,” while Top Shelf Music Mag had this to say: “Storytelling is at the heart of great folk music, and Amigo the Devil crafts a captivating narrative, song after song, that resonates and shows his true musical poetic genius.”
Performing in Adelaide with his band for the very first time, you don’t want to miss out on tickets to witness Amigo the Devil in all his glory this August.
