Ed Kuepper Reveals Rescheduled 2026 Tour Dates

Ed Kuepper will perform songs from across his 50-year recording career.

Legendary musician Ed Kuepper has announced new dates for his upcoming The Exploding Universe of Ed Kuepper Tour after suffering a broken ankle.

A co-founder of the iconic punk band The Saints, Kuepper is celebrating his 50th year as a recording artist in 2026 with a massive national tour that now kicks off in October instead of August.

"Friends, due to the badly broken ankle of yours truly, we have been forced to move our Exploding Universe tour back a few weeks," Kuepper revealed in a statement. "The revised dates are below and all tickets already purchased are valid for the new shows with further tickets on sale now.

"Unfortunately, with the time allowed, we could not find new dates for Coffs Harbour or Murwillumbah, and we will aim to get back there in 2027. Sydney too has moved from the Enmore to The Factory, Marrickville - over two shows; matinee and evening - seated and standing. Sorry for any inconvenience. Hope to see you all in the warmer months."

The Exploding Universe of Ed Kuepper Tour is headlined by the songwriter, vocalist and guitarist alongside a talented band featuring drummer Mark Dawson, bassist Peter Oxley, keyboard player Alister Spence and brass arranger Eamon Dilworth, with the five-piece performing songs from across Kuepper’s incredible half-century career.

The new tour dates commence at the Avoca Theatre on Thursday 29 October, followed by shows at The Street in Canberra (Saturday 31 October), Wombarra Bowlo (Saturday 31 October), Adelaide’s The Gov (Wednesday 4 November), Melbourne’s National Theatre (Thursday 5 November), Barwon Heads’ Hotel (Friday 6 November), Sydney's Factory (Saturday 7 November), Fremantle’s Freo Social (Friday 13 November), wrapping up at Brisbane’s The Princess on Sunday 15 November.

Rising to fame as one of the founders of punk outfit The Saints, who burst onto the scene in the '70s, Ed Kuepper went on to have success with experimental post-punk outfit Laughing Clowns and grunge rockers The Aints!.

Going solo in the late '80s, Kuepper has established a global following and released over a dozen albums, including the 1991 classic Honey Steel’s Gold, which peaked at #28 on the ARIA Albums Chart.

Kuepper is a two-time ARIA Award winner who continues to release music, with the artist releasing three new projects this week: Exploding Universe Live! plus reissues of Today Wonder and Autocannibalism.
