Adelaide prog rockers Dyssidia dropped new single ‘Dream Persuasion’, the third and final taste of their upcoming new album, Deeper Wells Of Meaning.
Set for release November 28 via Wild Thing Records (pre-order/pre-save here), Deeper Wells Of Meaning was co-produced with Sam Vallen (Caligula’s Horse), mixed by Vallen, and mastered by V. Santura. The album pushes boundaries and has been described as “weaving crushing intricacy and raw vulnerability into a singular, immersive experience.”
‘Dream Persuasion’ follows the previously released tracks ‘Serum Sickness’ and ‘Impulsivity’ and is Dyssidia’s first ever collaboration, with the band working with Japanese tsugaru shamisen performer, composer and vocalist, Noriko Tadano.
The track is an explosive merger of Dyssidia’s intricate prog metal and Tadano’s alluring use of the Japanese shamisen.
To celebrate the release of Deeper Wells Of Meaning, Dyssidia are throwing a special hometown gig at Jive on Saturday 13 December. Dyssidia will perform tracks from their new release, along with fan favourites, with support from Brisbane’s Balkan progressive metal outfit Adriatic and local support acts Wings of Thanatos and Kuiper.
Tickets are on sale now via moshtix.com.au.
