Swedish rockers Self Deception are heading our way in 2026 on their very first headlined tour of Australia.
Last here in 2023 when they supported Electric Callboy, the quartet are fresh from a sold-out tour of Europe, having established themselves as a force in the Swedish heavy music scene.
Touring in support of their 2024 album Desroy the Art, Self Deception can’t wait to perform tracks from the record for Aussie audiences.
The five-date jaunt takes in shows at Brisbane’s The Triffid on Thursday 23 April, Sydney’s Manning Bar on Friday 24 April, Melbourne’s Max Watts on Saturday 25 April and Adelaide’s Lion Arts Factory on Sunday 26 April, finishing up in Perth at Magnet House on Tuesday 28 April.

Formed in 2005 by singer Andreas Clark and drummer Erik Eklund, Self Deception have been out there getting it done for 20 years.
Over that time, they’ve become pioneers of modern Swedish metal, garnering over 75 million streams on Spotify and releasing hit singles including ‘Fight With Gasoline’, ‘Hell and Back’ and ‘The Scandinavian Dream’.
Self Deception have also received rave reviews for their live shows, with Pit Daddy writing, “From the first note to the last, the entire venue was moving. Whether it was dancing, bouncing, or arms waving in the air.”
