Weeks out from the release of Dirty Pagans’ riff-tastic new album Forever High, arriving June 27 (pre-order here), the Adelaide ragers have shared the record’s second single, ‘Killer in the Night’.

A head-banging dose of ‘70s heavy rock echoing their heroes Iron Maiden, ‘Killer in the Night’ explores repression, identity, and violence through a haunting tale of a stabbing in a subway.

The track marks a shift in direction for Dirty Pagans and follows on from the previously released ‘Forever High’, a ball-busting blast of psych rock that will make your toes curl.

“We’re very happy to be dropping our second slice of riff ‘n’ roll, ‘Killer in the Night’,” says vocalist Matty Dee. “We’ve had a lot of great feedback from the first single ‘Forever High’ and looking forward to everyone wrapping their ears around the whole album soon. For now, sit back, turn it to 10 and enjoy ‘Killer in the Night’!”

Coming together in 2016, Dirty Pagans have been delivering heavy riffs and anthemic rock choruses for close to a decade.

Fresh from supporting the legendary Glenn Hughes (Deep Purple) on his Aussie tour last year, Dirty Pagans, who have added powerhouse drummer Gareth Briggs to the family, are excited to unleash Forever High for fans to devour.

“It’s been a labour of love, and now through the thick billowing smoke, Forever High is ready to rattle some loins,” explains Dee. “We road tested these songs on tour with Glenn Hughes last year and got an excellent response. Fans are loving our blend of heavy riffs, soaring vocals and tongue-in-cheek humour - Blaze up kings and queens, Forever High is here!”

Dirty Pagans have locked in a monster album launch show at Jive on June 28 with support coming from Queensland sleaze lords Snake Bite Whiskey, doom darlings Rocky’s Pride & Joy and psych-rockers The Coogees. Tickets are on sale now via moshtix.com.au.

Catch Dirty Pagans at Jive on Saturday, June 28. Tickets on sale via moshtix.com.au. Pre-order Forever High here.
