One of the most intriguing bands to emerge in recent years, Deafheaven was formed in San Francisco by singer George Clarke and guitarist Kerry McCoy in 2010.
Releasing their self-titled demo as a duo, they recruited more musicians to fill out the band, with the lineup going through multiple changes over the past 16 years.
Over that time, they’ve released seven acclaimed albums, inspired the blackgaze subgenre and crossed over into the mainstream since the release of their 2013 sophomore album, Sunbather.
