Deacon Blue Celebrates 40 Years of Music With 2026 Australian Tour
The tour coincides with the release of Deacon Blue’s latest album, The Great Western Road.

Scottish pop-rockers Deacon Blue are celebrating 40 years of making music with a six-date Australian tour.
Catch the current lineup of Ricky Ross (lead vocals, piano), Lorraine McIntosh (backing and lead vocals, percussion), Dougie Vipond (drums, percussion), Gregor Philp (guitar), Lewis Gordon (bass) and Brian McAlpine (keyboards, piano) in January and February 2026.
Not only are Deacon Blue commemorating 40 years together on this tour, but they are also promoting the release of their eleventh studio album, The Great Western Road. The album, which dropped in March of this year, topped the Scottish Albums Chart and has been well-received by critics.
Fans heading along to see the band can expect a set packed with classic Deacon Blue tracks, cuts from their new album and plenty of surprises, with songs such as ‘Dignity’, ‘Real Gone Kid’, ‘I’ll Never Fall In Love Again’ and ‘Fergus Sings the Blues’ sure to get a look in.
Deacon Blues’ 2026 Australian tour starts in Perth at the Astor Theatre on Friday 30 January. Dates follow in Adelaide at Thebarton Theatre on Sunday 1 February, Thirroul’s Anita’s Theatre on Wednesday 4 February, Sydney’s Enmore Theatre on Thursday 5 February and Melbourne’s Forum on Saturday 7 February, with the tour wrapping up at Brisbane’s Fortitude Music Hall on Tuesday 10 February.
