Crocodylus have shared new single ‘Leech’, the latest track taken from their upcoming third studio album, Limbo, please be good to me, out Friday 24 April via ORiGiN Recordings (pre-save here).
Following the release of ‘Attention’ and ‘Limbo’, the Eora/Sydney garage rockers ‘Leech’ is a fast and frantic banger with an air of anxiety.
Exploring Crocodylus’ newfound technical abilities, the song is best described by the band themselves, who share, “No beating around the bush or metaphors here — this is literally a song about being a leech. That said, it might be one of the most technical songs we've ever written. Our producer, Wade Keighran, really brought new life to it. Originally, the song felt a bit too short, so we added the outro jam — which just kept getting longer and longer. Never thought we'd have a riff in 11/4, and the strings are really something special.”
Limbo, please be good to me was produced with Wade Keighran and features schoolmates Josh Williams (bass/vocals), Stephen Sacco (guitar/vocals), Mikel Salvador (drums/vocals), Nick Meadows (keys/saxophone/percussion) and Jake Voroshine (bass), crafting their most ambitious album yet.
‘Leech’ is accompanied by a music video directed by Nathan Rathsam with assistance from Riley O’Toole and choreography by Remy Rochester and Angus Onley. Check it out below.
