Chicago art rock three-piece FACS are heading down under for their debut tour in May.
For close to a decade, FACS have been releasing confronting, haunting melodic post-punk meets shoegaze records, dropping their sixth long player, Wish Defense, in 2025.
The record was the final release produced by the late, great Steve Albini and explores themes of identity, duality and introspection.
The original lineup of Brian Case, Jonathan Van Herik and Noah Leger have locked in seven headline shows with support from Chimers and Twine.
FACS Aussie jaunt begins in Bendigo at Trash Cult on Wednesday 7 May. Dates follow at Northcote Social Club in Melbourne, on Thursday 8 May, The Ed Castle in Adelaide on Friday 9 May, Mojos in Fremantle on Saturday 10 May, La La La’s in Wollongong on Wednesday 14 May and Marrickville Bowl in Sydney on Thursday 15 May, with the final concert at SEason Three in Brisbane on Friday 16 May.
Tickets are on sale now at solitarycount.com.au.

For close to a decade, FACS have been building a global fanbase with their stark rhythms and haunting melodies.
The trio’s Bandcamp page says, “FACS uses minimalism and space to create abstract, modern art rock.” After listening to FACS, it’s hard to disagree with that statement.
The band’s immersive live performances have taken venues by storm across the US and Europe, and now it’s Australia’s turn to experience FACS in the flesh.
Catch FACS performing at The Ed Castle on Friday 9 May. Tickets on sale at humanitix.com.
