The tour announcement coincides with the release of Budjerah’s awesome new single, ‘Is It Ever Gonna Make Sense’, which premiered on triple j this afternoon. Budjerah is super excited about his upcoming shows, saying: “On stage, there’s a fire in me and I think that’s why I love performing so much. Because there’s a part of me inside that just wants to come out. And that’s when I feel like you get the full view of me as a whole person.”
After striking up a friendship with Matt Corby, who produced Budjerah’s 2021 self-titled debut EP, the proud Coodjinburra man from the Bundjalung nation became an ARIA Award winner, claiming the gong for Breakthrough Artist. He followed this with another ARIA Award in 2022 for his sophomore EP, Conversations, taking out the category for Best Soul/R&B Release.
The talented singer continues to kick career goals, winning Best New Artist at the 2023 Rolling Stone Australia Awards, earning over 15 million streams on Spotify with hit single ‘Therapy’, collaborating with the likes of Corby, Meg Mac and PNAU and supporting Ed Sheeran on his most recent Australian tour.
