Much like its cover art, the latest single from BIG NOTER, ‘Talk Straight’, is a brutal hardcore kick to the face.
Following on from the empowering debut single ‘Identity’, BIG NOTER’s ‘Talk Straight’ is a vicious, riff-heavy explosion calling out those pretending to be something they’re not.
Produced by Nick Didia (Rage Against the Machine, Pearl Jam), the track demonstrates BIG NOTER frontman and founder Briggs’ take-no-shit attitude that comes through in this bubbling cauldron of hardcore, punk, nu metal and rap.
As he posted on Instagram, ‘Talk Straight’ is “Loud, sharp, and built to hit.”
Fronting a hardcore band might come as a shock to some, but for proud Yorta-Yorta man Briggs, BIG NOTER is a natural evolution, taking inspiration from his youth growing up listening to hardcore bands like Ice T’s Body Count.
“People might be surprised, but this is where I’m most at home; this is the sound I was raised on,” Briggs explains.
