The second single from Briggs’ new outfit is a vicious kick to the face.

Much like its cover art, the latest single from BIG NOTER, ‘Talk Straight’, is a brutal hardcore kick to the face.
Following on from the empowering debut single ‘Identity’, BIG NOTER’s ‘Talk Straight’ is a vicious, riff-heavy explosion calling out those pretending to be something they’re not.
Produced by Nick Didia (Rage Against the Machine, Pearl Jam), the track demonstrates BIG NOTER frontman and founder Briggs’ take-no-shit attitude that comes through in this bubbling cauldron of hardcore, punk, nu metal and rap.
As he posted on Instagram, ‘Talk Straight’ is “Loud, sharp, and built to hit.”
Fronting a hardcore band might come as a shock to some, but for proud Yorta-Yorta man Briggs, BIG NOTER is a natural evolution, taking inspiration from his youth growing up listening to hardcore bands like Ice T’s Body Count.
“People might be surprised, but this is where I’m most at home; this is the sound I was raised on,” Briggs explains.

The release of ‘Talk Straight’ comes after a big couple of months for BIG NOTER. After performing in Adelaide for the first time as part of Future Sounds and supporting Rage Against the Machine’s Tom Morello at his Bluesfest sideshows, the band have just returned from supporting Amyl & The Sniffers across Europe.
The touring doesn’t stop there, with BIG NOTER tapped to share the stage with Karnivool on their national tour and play their first ever headline show at Northcote Social Club in August. Oh yeah, BIG NOTER are also supporting thrash legends Suicidal Tendencies on their upcoming Australian tour.
With BIG NOTER’s debut album on the horizon, ‘Talk Straight’ is a gripping tease of what fans can expect.
‘Talk Straight’ is out now via Island Records Australia. Catch BIG NOTER supporting Karnivool at Hindley Street Music Hall on Sunday 3 August 3. Tickets on sale now via karnivool.com.
