RONA. Drops Pulsating New Single ‘In Movement’

Kaytetye producer and DJ RONA. can't stop releasing bangers!

Her latest effort, 'In Movement', is a vivacious dancefloor filler that continues her evolution as an artist and a connection to Country.

Following the release of her exhilarating single 'To The Ground' earlier this year, 'In Movement' is another pulsating instrumental from the experimental artist that arrives ahead of the release of her third EP, To The Ground, out Friday 22 August.

Speaking about the track, RONA. shares, "I originally wrote 'In Movement' during a deep writing period on Arrernte Country in the Central Desert, where I was dreaming up the story I wanted to tell for my debut performance at Meredith Music Festival. I had begun writing an hour-long set that slowly brought us closer to the ground, and 'In Movement' became one of the pivotal moments in that journey.

"When I finally played it at Meredith, the response completely caught me off guard. Since then, it's quietly travelled with me across dance floors and festivals throughout Australia, becoming one of those songs that seems to shift everyone into the same frequency and rhythm every time it is played. 

"The track explores how dance carries us beyond ourselves. Each step sends a ripple through Country, drawing us into relationship with place, community and something larger than the individual. Movement has always been more than expression. It is memory, ceremony, connection and a way of finding each other."

There are few artists in the Aussie electronic scene as exciting as RONA., who can best be described as a sonic and visual storyteller crafting music inspired by Country and club culture.

Making her mark in 2022 with the single 'Closure', RONA.'s been on an upward trajectory, releasing two EPs and performing in clubs and on festival stages across the globe.

Last year’s six-track It’s All Here EP established the Kaytetye artist as one to watch, with her upcoming EP To The Ground sure to catapult her into the stratosphere of the electronic music scene.

Those living in Naarm/Melbourne and Mparntwe/Alice Springs are lucky enough to have the chance to catch RONA. performing live in the coming months, with the DJ announcing a small run of intimate To The Ground Shows at Hope Street Radio in Naarm/Melbourne on Friday 21 August and Duyu Coffee in Mparntwe/Alice Springs on Saturday 5 September.
